Weekend Steam: Greenfield Village
Video by Artistmac
Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village is a vacation destination that every American needs to see at least once. You should plan a two day visit for this historical adventure so that you can spend one day in the village and one in the museum. Mrs. TBS, EJ and I went to Dearborn for our first family vacation in 1989, and we spent two long, great days looking around at the artifacts collected by Henry Ford. Highlights from that visit that I can remember twenty years later include Edison's lab, the Wright Brothers' home and shop, steam engines, gas engines, and antique cars. Take a look around the website for the museum and village; it has all the information you need to plan your itinerary.

Thank you so much, Sam! I'm so glad that The Henry Ford made such an impression on you, even 20 years ago! I hope you'll be able to make it back again soon to visit.
Thanks again!
Kate: I first learned about the Ford Museum when my father bought a subscription to the Iron Men Album Magazine for me when I was 14 years old. The Jan-Feb 1965 issue had a very nice article by a subscriber about the Museum and Greenfield Village; it only took twenty-four years for me to get there. I must go again! True Blue Sam
