Crankin' It Up: A Little Long Hair Music
If you follow Brigid you know that she had a wonderful evening at the Indianapolis Symphony with friends. They were priveleged to see and hear Leila Josefowicz perform, which turned me just a little bit green. We don't get out to the big city very often, but we can still take a break from the standard fare and crank up a record with a little class. This record is the St. Louis Symphony performing the Artist's Life Waltz, by Johann Strauss. I don't have a date for this record, but Rudolph Ganz conducted the St. Louis Symphony from 1921 to 1927. This is an acoustic recording, so it was most likely done before 1925.
