Weekend Steam: Dual Exhaust
Zeke managed to get over to Mt. Pleasant for a day at Old Threshers, and was kind enough to share his photos with me. This Gaar-Scott double-simple is a new engine to me, and I can see that I better get back to Old Threshers again one of these days. Doubles are fun to listen to, because they have twice the exhaust notes of single cylinder and compound engines. The sound is very much like a locomotive instead of a traction engine.
Here's a look in the smokebox, where you see the pipes that do the talking. Thank you, Zeke.
