A Day In The Life Of A Steam Locomotive Fireman

Pour a cup of coffee and spend half an hour to share a day that few see nowadays.  Thanks for picking another good one, Merle!

Thank you David and Merle. I could smell the coal smoke. What a great old engine. The crew seem to be that great combination of wisdom and knowledge. They are evidently the silverbacks in their train troupe. I've fired before and always enjoyed it. Keeping on top of the fire box, sight glasses, water feed pump/injectors, etc. is great in a hobby setting. Doing it for a living might be too much for this old man.
