Face Down

Eye surgery today.  Susan's left eye developed macular holes and repair work has been done.  She has to stay face down for three days, but that is better than her retinal surgeries twenty years ago when it was six weeks.  Her bad eye will now be her good eye, but she should be able to see pretty well.

I had eye surgery a few years ago.. I truly cannot imagine a body part I'd rather have surgery on than the eye.. I even told the surgeon "I'd rather you were operating on my pecker"

He honestly answered.. That's not where were are going today"

Prayers to Susan's successful procedure!

Susan watched a video about the procedure, but I can't make myself watch. The vitreous fluid is removed, the lining of the retina is scraped, they did more laser tacking, and a gas bubble is in her eye now; but I cannot watch!

I hope she makes a complete and rapid recovery.
