Now we can start our engine from the warmth of our home.

I'd like to test drive a Model T, but I don't want to have to depend on one.

John: Forget to retard the timing and it will break your bones! One of my uncles wrapped his thumb around the crank and when it kicked back, he broke his jaw against the radiator. Ts were pretty good mudders, back before improved roads were out there.

I think it was my Mom's Dad that had a broken arm from a Model T.
I didn't remember his story until you mentioned the kick back.

My Dad said that an Aunt had a Model A, and he or his brother would turn the under dash fuel valve off to mess with the aunt.

Yup, hang onto that crank a little too tight and the crank will smack you on the back of the wrist. That crank will spin like a windmill. I forgot only once when I had a T, and my hand was in the clear when the crank spun.
