Tuesday Torque: Potpourri

  1. We had a German single cylinder side sickle 2 meter cut hay mower from the 30's that we were still using in the late 70's on the hay farm. Dad had a contact in Germany for parts. It was efficient and never broke down but the blades were replaced every year. It used a Ford oil filter. If it was below 65 it needed a squirt of starting fluid to start. It was a thumper and did better at higher thumps. It was a weird single purpose tractor that was open to the elements and a pin to operate.
