Joe Glenn demonstrated a neat rescue technique during the class at the Dixon Springs Ag Center. If you ever have to do this, these are the steps: Set cribbing under the tree to support it on both sides of the trapped party, bore two holes through the section above the victim, make two cuts to sever the section with angles which prevent it from falling, use wedges at each end to prevent it from moving, insert a pole in each hole that you bored, lift the section off of the victim, and don't step on him.
