Weekend Steam: Steam Powered Rice Milling In Thailand

The first part of this video shows harvesting and drying of the grain, and the steam engine comes in at the 8:00 minute mark.

    There is a whole series on these old stationary steam engines in Thailand, powering older rice mills.

    Some are well maintained, some aren't.

    I especially like the old Ruston that has been converted into a steam engine.
