Fall Colors
No frost yet, and the extended dry spell hurt the display. Hickories and ash are showing yellow for a few days, and then turning brown and falling. Persimmon is all turning a brilliant yellow and giving good hang-time. This is sassafras, and you have to get up close to appreciate it. It is mostly muted this Fall.
Sumacs are steady performers, and provide color when other trees are drab.
Here is one of our persimmons, coming through again with color to brighten our day.
