Interesting. When I watched the screwdriver segment I wondered why the screwdriver drawers smelled awful. 3M makes "scuff pads" specifically for plastic and stainless steel which would be useful in a project like this. As for plastic screwdriver handles I've soaked them in Armor All spray for a few hours to remove the hazy appearance...it works.
HMMM, never seen plastic handles restored like that.....
