One More Load For The Splitter

 Then another, and etc. This load has cherry, black locust, ash, and shingle oak.

    I hadn't prepped any firewood due to a rotator cuff problem.

    I am now(in the heat of summer here in the NorthWest) splitting and stacking 3 cords, which should get us through the next cold season.

    I have big leaf maple, not a great wood(burns fast, not a lot of BTU) but it's free. We had a MAJOR snow event a couple years ago, and I ended up with more than 8 cords.

    The splitter is workin' hard...

  2. We used a Monster Maul for years and we love our splitter! The maul is growing a rusty patina.
