Changing the kitchen sink's faucet means replacing the shutoffs first. A one hour job takes all day!
Oh Yes. Getting near the inevitable 30yrs change out, and the changes in plumbing items, a simple fix may not be so simple.....

Mine made it 62yrs. And the shape my backs in I had a plumber replace all of them, 8 & two outside. $1000.
