Young Marion Parker fits the genre, except this is a true story. Marion Parker was twelve years old, and was abducted from her school, held for ransom, and murdered. There are gruesome details, which you can read about HERE. The murderer told the cops that he needed the ransom money to attend Bible college. It's all very fascinating, and very sad.
