Months With An R

Time to be doing your necessary pruning.  If you don't have a good pruning blade, look them up on Forestry Suppliers or Ben Meadows.

Swamp White Oak?

In the picture, that is.

Swamp Chestnut Oak; they look similar, but the Swamp Chestnut leaves are more oval with a regularly toothed edge, similar to Chinkapin margins, but a wider oval. Swamp Chestnut Oaks want to grow into veneer logs. The ones we planted have a branch angle steeper than I like, but they are growing well.
