Dirty Rotten Blighters
We are under attack by Japanese beetles in Southern Illinois. They have wiped out our plums and apples, and are also eating cypress, basswood, oak, and pecan leaves. These things even eat elm. I didn't think anything would eat elm.

You're in dire need of something that eats Japanese beetles - if there is anything that does...

The grubs of this insect live in grass, so you can control them with insecticide applied to your yard. Of course they have to be poisoned in every yard for that to be effective, and if you do not water in the insecticide, it kills your pets who are walking around barefoot on poison. Sevin works pretty well on the adults, but there are too many to stop.
